South Kitsap Fire & Rescue crews responded to reports of a gas leak around 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the Solid Rock Café on Bethel Avenue in Port Orchard.

About a dozen occupants of the building were evacuated as firefighters in hazardous materials gear probed the structure and shut off the gas main.

No injuries were reported and an SKFR official said the situation was quickly contained.
