Kudos to newly elected Port of Bremerton commissioner Larry Stokes for expressing reservations about the port’s dubious Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (SEED) project.

Although we’d prefer his objections be more enthusiastic and comprehensive, we agree with his basic premise that the project’s funding plan and structure are vague at best and thus represent a poor investment of the taxpayers’ money.

Here’s hoping his reservations never disappear and ultimately lead to someone’s pulling the plug on this misbegotten scheme.
