Welcome to KCR

While were on the subject of things in the best interest of people in Port Orchard and South Kitsap, the opening of a new Kitsap Community Resources branch office on Bay Street is without a doubt a positive thing.
The non-profit, public service agency offers a broad range of services to help low-income mothers seeking nutritional assistance, people who need help paying their utility bills, recently unemployed workers and many more. And until now, KCRs clients in South Kitsap had to travel to Bremerton for their appointments with the counselors.
Bringing the help to those needing, rather than the other way around, is not only compassionate, but practical, too.
