KCSO | Two juveniles nabbed for breaking into vehicles

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office reported that two juvenile males were arrested for vehicular burglary and drug possession.

According to the arrest report, a Port Orchard resident reported he discovered the pair breaking into his vehicles about 3:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at his apartment complex.

A deputy spotted two teens on bicycles matching the description of the suspects provided by the victim at a local convenience store. While questioning the teens, the 15-year-old teen admitted that he and his 17-year-old friend broke into three or four vehicles at a nearby apartment complex. He told deputies he remembers taking a GPS and sunglasses, according to the arrest report.

Deputies reported they searched the backpack on one of the suspects and found the GPS unit, several pairs of sunglasses, two marijuana pipes and Oxycodone.

Both juveniles were arrested for second-degree vehicle prowling and drug possession. They were taken to the Kitsap County Juvenile Detention Center.
