The other day as I was driving, I got behind a car with a bumper sticker that read, “This fall, fire them all. Re-elect nobody.”

As I continued to drive, I began to think about it. The more I thought, the more I had to agree with the bumper sticker.

What have lawmakers done lately for the common good?

We’re drowning in debt and our leaders just continue to spend, spend, spend.

How do they intend to pay for their spending? Tax, tax, tax.

If we citizens used the same accounting techniques, we would wind up in jail.

No matter how the economy is suffering, Congress gets its yearly pay increases.

Americans worry about medical coverage, and Congress spends over six months to come up with a disaster. Then it makes sure to exclude itself from the bill.

This fall, fire them all. Re-elect nobody.
