4-H Dog Club keeping busy
September 16, 2010 · 10:52 AM
The members of the Happy Trails 4-H Dog Club participated in the Mason County Dog Camp held at the premier 4-H camp in Washington, Panhandle Lake.
Three leaders of this club held learning sessions for this multi-county camp of dog classes.
Happy Trails 4-H Club did well, placing first with their entry in the Fathoms o’Fun Parade and earning a plaque for the 25 club members who participated in the parade.
Later, at the beginning of August, the youth members, their parents and leaders attended the Pierce County Fair in Graham.
The atmosphere was very friendly and sharing.
This month, the club members are attending the Western Washington Fair in Puyallup, participating in such categories as Agility, Cadence, Showmanship, the Knowledge Bowl, Photography, Foods and Demonstrations.
There were 90 4-H dogs on display, along with the youth and adults who conducted themselves very well, answering questions from the fair visitors.
The Happy Trails 4-H of Port Orchard hopes to see you at the Puyallup Fair.
