Washington should make recycling mandatory

Tell our government to make Washington state the Green Recycling State.

Make it mandatory for all stores to do this, as Washington state used to do.

We used to have deposit with refund on the return of soda pop bottles. It’s time we do more than that now.

Put a refundable deposit on plastic soda pop bottles. Also, put a refundable deposit on metal cans, like fruit, vegetable and juice cans.

Put an even higher refundable deposit on beer cans and bottles, and any can or bottle containing alcoholic beverages.

You could even put a refundable deposit on cigarette packs and other items.

Washington state should force people to recycle.

If it did, it wouldn’t take long before other states followed suit.

People could even make a little money by collecting the refundable deposit.
