Store's ad misleading

To the editor:

Shame on Port Orchard Fred Meyer.

Fred Meyer advertised a 4-11pm starlight savings sale on Friday in my Friday PO Independent. On the Front page they advertised a 32" Maganavox at $249.99.

My husband went down Friday at 4:15pm to look at them. He was told, by a sales associate in that department "it" was sold at 4:00.

The actual ad should have read as follows — Fred Meyer has 1 32" TV whoever gets here first gets to buy it.

I am so sick and tired of misleading and quite frankly intentional false marketing only to find out that there was only 1 or 2 of the advertised product sent to the stores. My husband had groceries to buy but he went to Safeway where he spent $80 rather than give it to Fred Meyer.
