Question about election ballot | Letter

November 2, 2012 · 11:53 AM

My daughter, who lives on Long Lake Road in Port Orchard, never received her voters pamphlet or voting ballot. She went to the election division in person today to pick up a ballot and ran into her neighbor who also did not receive her pamphlet and ballot.

When an election can be determined by a few votes, this matters a great deal! How many people can take the time, during the business day, to pick up a ballot? What happened to the ballots that they were supposed to have received?

Unfortunately, with so little time before the election there may be a great many people who will be denied their right to vote.
