Our homeless Americans need help

I do not know about you, but when I snuggle down into my nice warm bed, I think of the homeless people out in the cold, sleeping in old sleeping bags with rain pouring down.

In the comfort of our homes, can we even imagine the hell that these poor people endure each day.

I have read some articles about them. They are they are prostitutes and druggies. This is a farce.

Do you honestly believe that these people chose this way of life? These are desperate struggling Americans that need help.

The Salvation Army, that has always helped the poor, is attempting to build and maintain a hygiene center for the homeless. There would be showers, bathrooms, water and dryers, and mail boxes. A place where the poor people could attain some dignity.

These amenities that we take for granted each day. These people have not had these luxuries in months.

The Salvation Army need our help with their project. How about everyone in their lovely, warm homes, write a check for $10 or more and give our fellow Americans a hand.

Remember the quote by John Bradford: “But for the grace of God, go I.” He will reward you for your generosity.

To donate, send checks to Hygiene Center, Salvation Army, P.O. Box 886, Bremerton, WA 88337.
