I’m so relieved we have a new park

Gee, I can hardly wait to visit Camp Calvinwood, located on Lake Flora Road (“There’s trails, but no restrooms at South Kitsap’s newest park,” July 3).

Of course, I am going to have to walk from home (a distance of only four miles), since there is nowhere to park.

Leave your vehicle in the park’s entryway and it will be towed.

Park along Lake Flora Road and it will be ticketed.

And once I get to the gate, it’s only another half mile into the lake so I can fish.

Bring your dog (which must be leashed), and it can squat or lift a leg on any tree or bush.

As for me, I’d better empty my bladder before leaving home because there are no restroom facilities available unless you rent the lodge for $361 a day on weekends and holidays, or $206 for a week day.

I’m wondering — if you’re “leashed,” can you lift a leg on any tree, or does one have to carry more than just a water bottle?

That probably just “Depends.”
