October 23, 2009 · 8:25 AM
Election time is near, and we should all be informing ourselves of the choices we have before us.
Amy Igloi-Matsuno is a candidate for Port Orchard City Council Position 6, and she is a fine choice.
She and her husband are successful small business owners in a very competitive environment.
They are strong believers in the long-term viability of our community.
As a business owner, she has had to hire employees and build a winning team. She has been managing finances, work schedules, payroll and compensation packages.
Time management is one of her strong assets, and these qualities will serve her and our community well as a City Council member.
Amy holds membership in statewide and local organizations including Port Orchard Chamber of Commerce, Bremerton Chamber of Commerce, Washington Restaurant Association and the Association of Washington Business, where she is a member of the board of directors.
Her many local and statewide contacts will make her a strong and recognizable advocate for our community.
Amy believes in the dynamic direction in which the city of Port Orchard is headed.
She will bring a refreshing and enthusiastic attitude in preserving what is best in our city — and creating what will serve the new Port Orchard.
Port Orchard will be a better place with Amy Igoli-Matsuno as a member of City Council.
