Three Wolves place at Mat Classic XXIV
Senior Eddie Meisner (220 pounds) and junior Damien Medeiros (285) both placed for South Kitsap in the boys tournament at Mat Classic XXIV at Tacoma Dome. Meisner placed fifth, while Medeiros was eighth.
Sophomore Amberlee Brasch (137) became the first female in Wolves’ wrestling history to qualify and place at state. She finished fifth.

Lester-Dame succeeds Ballew as SK’s fastpitch coach
She acknowledges it is a stressful time.
That is because new South Kitsap fastpitch coach Tami Lester-Dame faces the prospect of the girls basketball season running into March. Lester-Dame, an assistant coach with that program, then must balance that with tryouts for fastpitch before the season opens March 19 at Wilson.

Maile Keanu scored a career-high 29 points and had 21 rebounds to lead South Kitsap to a hard-fought 67-63 win Wednesday night at Mount Tahoma, as the Wolves clinched the second seed in the 4A Narrows League for next week's district playoffs.
