Overview: Mike Merrill became the third coach at the school in as many years when he was hired in 2009 at Lincoln after previous stints at Auburn Riverside, Mount Rainier and Lake Washington. He was an assistant at South in the early 1990s under Ed Fisher and uses a run-heavy, Wing-T offense. The Abes, who returned just three offensive and three defensive starters, are one of the youngest the teams in the league. Jenkins is Lincoln’s top offensive threat. He rushed for 203 and 147 yards in wins against Mount Tahoma and Foss, respectively. The Abes lost three of their last four regular-season games. This will be the third time in four season that Lincoln has hosted the Wolves. Sigurdson said that is because 3A Narrows schools host crossover games this year, while 4A Narrows programs will have them at home next season.
