SK fastpitch team

splits league games

It’s been a mixed week for the South Kitsap High School fastpitch team. North Kitsap starter Jenneke Oostman struck out 10 batters and Jordan Jewitt went 2 for 4 and scored a pair of runs as the Vikings lost 3-2 Monday in Narrows League play.

Cortney Echternach went 3 for 3 with a double to lead the Wolves.

Echternach was strong again Wednesday as she hit a home run and had 3 RBI to lead South to a 10-0 win in five innings against Lincoln in Narrows League play.

Sam Jacobs (2-1) allowed only one hit to earn the win.

South improved to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in league play.

SK hoops boosters

plan golf tourney

The South Kitsap High School Boys Basketball Boosters hold their eighth-annual golf tournament at 2 p.m. on April 20 at Trophy Lake Golf Course.

The event is a four-person, 18-hole scramble.

There will be a barbecue dinner following the tournament and awards presentation.

Entry is $75 per player on the day of the tournament.

Registration is 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. that day. The field size is limited to the 120 players.

Registration forms are available at Buck’s A&W on Mile Hill Drive, Trophy Lake and South Kitsap High.
