SK hoops boosters

plan golf tourney

The South Kitsap High School Boys Basketball Boosters hold their eighth-annual golf tournament at 2 p.m. on April 20 at Trophy Lake Golf Course.

The event is a four-person, 18-hole scramble.

There will be a barbecue dinner following the tournament and awards presentation.

Entry is $75 per player on the day of the tournament.

Registration is 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. that day. The field size is limited to the 120 players.

Registration forms are available at Buck’s A&W on Mile Hill Drive, Trophy Lake and South Kitsap High.

Wolves put a

hurting on Foss

Cortney Echternach had home runs in each of the first two innings and Sam Jacobs allowed just one run as the South Kitsap High School fastpitch team earned a 13-1, five-inning Narrows League win Friday against Foss.

Heather True also went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI for the Wolves (5-2 overall, 4-2 league).

Kevin Hancock, Cooper Canton, Hunter Riley and Jordan Firman all had hits for Evergreen, while Jonathan Low, Riley and Canton combined on a four-hitter on the mound.

A.J. Nolan had a double and two singles and Austin Bayne had two hits for Wiley’s.

Soren Fisher led Jag with a two-run home run.

Cory Warren hit a game-winning grand slam to lead Jag to victory.
