Port Orchard’s Josh Klatman finished the 2012 season with a win at the USA BMX Grand Nationals during Thanksgiving Weekend in Tulsa, Okla.

Klatman, who was ranked as the No. 1 amateur in 2010-11, now competes in the 19- to 27-year-old expert classification, which encompasses 87 riders.

The 21-year-old South Kitsap graduated raced in an eight-competitor race as the field was whittled down from 32 to 16 riders before the final eight competed for the one-lap title on a 1,300-foot course.

Klatman finished the season first in his age group and fourth among amateur racers.
