Austin Lowe and Nick Riders combined to pitch a one-hitter Saturday to lead Fisher Dentistry to a 2-0 win over Deisler Plumbing and highlight action from play in the South Kitsap Eastern Little League.
The pair was also instrumental in getting Fisher on the board as Riders doubled and Lowe singled to begin the fourth inning and both scored on a single by C.J. Douty, his second hit of the game.
Chas Bauman and Tyler Jackson both made outstanding defensive plays for Fisher.
Alex Arthur, Duke Ralston and Derek Grant combined to throw a four-hitter for Deisler with Arthur breaking up the Fisher no-hitter with a single to center in the games fourth inning.
South Kitsap Eastern Little League
Â Deisler Plumbing 6, Mile Hill Chiropractic 5: Duke Ralston had three hits while Anthony Lombardi and Caleb Richards each slapped a triple to help Deisler overcome a 3-0 deficit. Cole Madison threw out two runners attempting to steal to lead the defensive effort.
Â Wiley's Automotive 9, Evergreen Lumber 7: Shawn Lange delivered two doubles, a single and drove in a run while Chris Bamonte knocked in three runs on a homer, triple and single to pace Wileys attack. Jaron Burbank had two singles while Shane McLalin, Chris Centrella, A.J. Nolan and Nick Cully added hits for Wileys. McLalin and Lange combined on the mound for the win.
Wiley's Automotive 3, Hanley Construction 1: Chris Bamonte went the distance for Wileys, striking out 11. Shawn Lange had two singles, A.J. Nolan, Nick Cully and Chris Centrella all had singles while Kyle Wittig made a great defensive play at third to get a key out.
Â D&W Automotive 10, Jag Construction 4: Collin Lee was a defensive standout as well as going 2 for 2 while Tim Riders and Tyler Arrey provided timely hits for D&W. Aaron ScottÂ and Jeshon HabenichtÂ provided stellar pitching for D&W.
Â Fisher Dentistry 3, Evergreen Lumber 0: C.J. Douty and Nick Riders combined to throw a no-hitter and struck out 13 to lead Fisher. Douty had a double and Riders had two RBI for Fisher while Chas Bauman, Austin Lowe and Jon New had hits. Jake York struck out nine for Evergreen.
Â Evergreen Lumber 9, Hanley Construction 2: Â Jake York and Zach Reyes combined to record 11 strike outs and drive seven runs to lead Evergreen. Kent Shaffer and Daniel Gonzalez added key defensive stops for Evergreen while Brenner Meek scored both runs for Hanley.
South Kitsap Babe Ruth
Cruise N Car Wash 22, 123 Cash 6: Joey Nguyen went 3-for-4 with a double while Kyle Kemper tossed three strong innings, allowing just a single run while striking out five for Cruise N Car Wash. Keenan Smith paced 123 Cash with a pair of hits.
