There are many different organizations or activities taking place around Lone Butte these days and newcomers are always welcome to join in:
For something to do
Theres drop-in womens volleyball, Mondays at 9:30 a.m. at the Lone Butte Community Hall.
Bingo is the first Tuesday of every month, doors open at 6 p.m., games start at 7 p.m. (Next one is Feb.6.)
A Sewing Social meets the first and third Tuesdays of every month starting at 10 a.m. at the community hall. Theres hand sewing, or bring your machine, learn
cross-stitching, quilting, etc. or just come for a visit. Call Pat, at 395-2114 for more information.
Organizations meet
Lone Butte Horse Lake Community Association monthly meetings are held at
7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month at the community hall. (The next one is
Jan. 24.) Come be active and have a say in what goes on in your community.
Lone Butte Volunteer Fire Department,
weekly practices are held on Thursdays at 7

The Lone Butte Historical Association monthly meetings will resume in April. Contact Al at 395-5193 for information.
Horse Lake School PAC meetings are held the first Monday of
every month at 7 p.m. at the school. (Next one is Feb. 5.) Come out and be active in your childs education and see whats going on at the school. Contact is Terry at 395-4036.
Other organizations also meet in the
area, including the Lone Butte Fish and Wildlife: Vince is the contact at 593-4004.
Lone Butte 4-H Club: beef, swine, rabbit, sheep, dog etc. Contact Rob at 395-4225.
Birthdays
Starting off the new year with a slew of early birthdays this month are; Mary Carter on the 3rd, Emma Cockram
turns 12 on Jan.11, Ed Andrews and Willie Honeybourn share Jan. 12, Michelle Gulbransen celebrates
on the 14, Jayzen Gulbransen and Pamela Parma have their birthdays on the 19th, Axel Matfin turns the big 19 on Jan. 23, and Pat McKay gets cake with candles on Jan. 24.
