Ghyrn Hobson provided the offense while Chris Sizemore and Scotty McGallian provided strong pitching as the SK Wolfpack baseball team opened Evergreen Seatac League play last week by sweeping the Narrows Yankees, 7-3 and 8-4.

The Pack scored early and often in the first game, getting key singles from Hobson and a double off the bat of Eric Eley.

Sizemore and McGallian combined to strikeout 12 batters with Sizmore picking up the win.

The Pack came from behind to take the second game, getting RBI hits from Sizemore and Hobson early.

SK put the game away in the final two innings, scoring six runs on a couple of errors and singles by Gabe Fewkes, Brad Fairweather, Joey Cole, Charlie Hough, Eley and two bunt singles by Todd Dalrymple and Max Luebeck.

Eley, Cole and Dalrymple combined to scatter eight hits and strike out seven.

South Kitsap Southern Little League

Majors

• Mile Hill Chiropractic 12, Hanley Construction 3: Mile Hill’s Brennen Fernie socked his third home run of the season while pitcher Kasey Bielec got solid defense behind him. Ryan Nesseth shined at the plate while Michael Mitchell provide great defense from his catcher position.

• Fisher Dental 3, Deisler Plumbing 2: Ryan Showalter pitched six strong innings, striking out 11 for the win. Adam Gascoyne scored twice and Riley Evans made an outstanding catch at third base to help preserve the win.

• Mile Hill Chiropractic 2, Wileys Auto Body 1: Brennen Fernie hit his fourth homer of the year while Michael Nation and Michael Jarzynka played solid defense as Mile Hill won it’s sixth game of the year.

• Bayside 15, Fisher Dental 2: Geoff Stowe had two hits while Chas Bauman, Aaron Smith and Adam Gascoyne each contributed one hit.

• Mile Hill Chiropractic 5, Deisler Plumbing 1: Ryan Nesseth, Michael Nation and Cameron Lee all had good games at the plate while Mile Hill ended the game on a perfectly executed play by Lee, who caught a deep ball and then hit Brennen Fernie who relayed to Kasey Bielec at the plate for the game’s final out.

Minors

• Buck’s A&W 9, Cooper Fuel 7: Cory Saldivar pitched two innings and also made a nice catch in leftfield for Bucks A& W.
