Seniors Josh Monagle and Ryan Sweet combined to score 31 points in just under three quarters work Wednesday night as the South Kitsap boys' basketball team beat North Kitsap 64-52 in Narrows League Bridge Division action.

The Wolves pounded the ball down low to both Monagle and Sweet early and often and found plenty of success. Monagle scored a game-high 17 points and had eight rebounds while Sweet scored 14 points and pulled down seven boards.

The Vikings stayed close in the first half behind some stellar outside shooting from guard Chris Zeringer who nailed four 3-pointers in the first 16 minutes to keep North within 10 points. But a 21-7 third-quarter run by the Wolves put the game out of reach.

South moved to 8-1 overall and 4-1 in league play while North dropped to 3-7 and 1-4. The Wolves are at Bremerton Friday.
