SPORTS BRIEFS| South Kitsap volleyball team continues strong start

Hannah Spohn had nine kills and Mikaela Strutz added nine assists as South Kitsap defeated Yelm 25-17, 25-23, 25-23 in a Class 4A Narrows League match Tuesday night at Yelm.

Shannon Laupola also added three assists for the Wolves (5-1 overall, 2-1 league).

Wolves’ boys tennis team remains unbeaten

South Kitsap swept the doubles matches to earn a 3-2 win in its 4A Narrows League opener Tuesday against Central Kitsap.

The Wolves (4-0 overall, 1-0 league) play Tuesday at Bellarmine Prep.
