South Kitsap senior Ryley Callaghan announced Monday that he signed to play at Peninsula College in Port Angeles.
Callaghan, who averaged 18.1 points and 6.1 assists per game during the regular season en route to all-Class 4A Narrows League honors, becomes the second player on the Wolves to sign to play college basketball. Earlier this month, Caulin Bakalarski announced he will play at Eastern Oregon University.
Bakalarski and Callaghan helped lead South to an 18-8 record and qualify for the 4A regional for a second consecutive season.
Seniors Tyler Pinkerton and Logan Knowles each had three hits during their final home contest to lead South to an 8-1 win Monday in a 4A Narrows League contest against Central Kitsap.
Junior Cooper Canton was the winning pitcher as the Wolves’ pitching staff limited the Cougars (2-11 overall, 0-8 league) to just four hits. South (11-4, 8-0) remains undefeated in league play.
