Soccer program

set to host camp

Westsound FC GU-15 players and coaches will conduct a camp from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Anderson Fields in Silverdale.

The camp is open to players 5 to 10 years old and will focus on providing individuals with sound fundamental techniques.

Camp costs $65.

Adult baseball

league planned

The NABA Westsound League will hold baseball tryouts for men at least 18 years old from noon to 2 p.m. Aug. 23-24 at Snider Park in Poulsbo.

The tryout fee is $10.

A $195 payment for league fees and a signed contract also are required before tryouts.

Players should bring a glove, spikes, baseball attire — no shorts, sweats or jeans — hat and a wood bat.

The eight-game season plus playoffs runs from Sept. 7 to Oct. 19.

All games are played at Snider Park and Bremerton’s Legion Field.

Bremerton Stingers

tryouts slated

The Bremerton Stingers Baseball Club will hold tryouts beginning Aug. 30.

Select teams for age divisions 10U, 11U, 13U and 15U now are forming for fall workouts and travel/tournament season.
