South Kitsap senior Leon La Deaux was the school's only selection on the Class 4A Evergreen State Preps all-state team released this week. Evergreen Sports is affiliated online with

La Deaux, a three-year starter, had 792 yards and 12 touchdowns on 46 receptions. The Wolves finished with a 10-1 record before they were eliminated by eventual champion Skyline in the first round of the state playoffs.

La Deaux scored 11 points, while Greg Pickard added 10 points and 10 rebounds to help South Kitsap (3-0) win its Narrows League opener Friday against Shelton.

Senior Taylor Rousell achieved state-qualifying times in a pair of events to lead South Kitsap to a 117-61 win Thursday against Mount Tahoma.

Rousell had state marks in the 50-yard freestyle (22.39 seconds) and 100 freestyle (49.09). Senior Brandon Dravis had the Wolves’ other state time in the 200 individual medley (2 minutes, 4.94 seconds).
